Lara Battema has been passionate about skin health from a young age.  From struggling with acne as a teenager to experiencing hormonal acne as an adult, having the right skincare routine has always been important to her.

 

In 2024, Lara decided to pursue skincare full-time. She is a Licensed Esthetician in New York and New Jersey.  ​Her goal is to help people feel empowered and confident in their skin by educating them and offering the right services. She launched @theathomefacialist to help people develop the right skincare routine with the right products at home. 80% of attaining healthy, radiant skin comes from a consistent, at-home routine with the right products.  To solve this, Lara offers virtual services designed to help those at home when they cannot visit in person. 
 

She also works full-time as an esthetician in New Jersey at Glowbar Hoboken providing results-driven and affordable facials.  In addition, she offers facial sculpting and jaw tension facial massages at various pop-up locations in Hoboken and Jersey City.  She lives in Jersey City Heights with her husband, Chris, kids, Hudson and Fiona, dog, Frankie, and cat, Simba.
